unhappy days...

OK making this short not like anyone reads this damn thing anyways..... It has been hell here in Cali for the past month or so. The only good thing is my parents came out to visit. I work to much to get anything else done when in the shop I am so tired I really done make anything worth a crap. (well worth anything to me) Need to go big to get the stress out but just don't have the energy. Most of the time wishing I could move back home to Florida to help parents and brother get stuff done, start my own biss. Things like that!! I has started to really dawn on my how moronic people around me are and just makes me mad. Working 90 to 100 hours a week just puts you in this kind of mood. Well hopefully I can get over to the shop this weekend to pick up the crap from last weekend that I made and yes I mean crap. I can not even remember what I made I was such in a daze when I made it. But getting into the shop is hard so when I get in and can barely function I still go just don't do what I always want to do. Sometime working hard just does not pay. I don't own a car .....I somewhat own a house......and that is about all i have to show for the past 7 years???? Tell me that does not suck. But hopefully this is just a funk and it will past and I can jam out some work and in August maybe get some time off. We will see I guess. Till then Gravity is your Friend and if it does not look on the end of a pipe I beat it still is....

Pictures to take..

I got new glass to take pictures of but just have not been able to get the pictures taken. Got to work doubles this week, so when I get a chance will get the pictures taken and downloaded.

On the up side my parents are coming out to California from Florida at the end of the week and the Studio will be doing a demo so they will get to meet the owner of the shop and get to see him do some work.

Quick before and after of the kitchen....

Keep in mind that I did all the demo and install of the cabinets, sink, counter top, plumbing, gas, microwave all myself to save some money. And to pat myself on the back it looks damn good.

Right now I still have to get a new Dishwasher to match but that is going to have to wait I have officially ran out of money. But granite counter top, new cabinets, new range with I will post a picture of when I finish the install. I had to rerun some gas line and find a way to mount the microwave/hood without having a cabinet. Oh snap that left pic does not even have the counter top in it. OK will have to get some new pictures but everyone gets the idea. Really busy now and have lots of stuff to finish at home but after a 85 hour week it is just hard to function sometimes. Well got glass time this coming up weekend so that is always good. Till them Gravity is your friend and keep it turning........

Here we go with a wam bam thank you mam post...

Going to through up some Glass pics and some home improvement pics as well. Due to me being lazy after work and then working at home this is what you get.

First is a Blue adventuring glass then a large garnet ornament and last in this group is the yellow and red flutter bowl.

OK here is two of my new colors in a bowl I think they are steel blue and a canary yellow.

Here is another set of new colors Aqua Marine Blue with a granny apple green. I like this combo but is a little hard to work with due to it going crazy really quickly.

OK here is a few vases that I made the last time in the shop. The first one is a black with a jade wrap. the Second on is a lapis blue with celadon wrap. The Third one is a light blue with a yellow wrap. I wish I would not have wrapped this one due to the inside looking soooo neat but did not know it was going to look that way till I transferred to the punty.

This is canary yellow with at lapis blue wrap and some pictures of the new shelves at the house where I am placing all the glass I have made.

This is a vase that was made for my mother in law when she was over in California and watched me make it for her. She picked out the colors they are a steel blue with a light blue wrap. The wrap did not turn out the way I wanted but she loved it.

OK OK I lied....

Well got busy two weekends ago when I decided to go after the Kitchen... Ripped out all the cabinets and replaced them all along with a new sink. Maybe I will place some before and after pictures once I get the counter top in from the fabricator. Then this past weekend had a glass weekend and the mother-in-law was in town. Therefore did not get a lot done but I will try my hardest to get some picture up on the page. I know it has been awhile but I will do my best. Till the next time..

Time just ticking away....

Well blew glass this past weekend on Saturday and got sick the next day so did not get to pick up the glass. I need to update a lot on how things are going with the glass and get some picture up on the blog..... That is the next task at will be added to the list. Remodel Kitchen, take pictures of glass, remodel bathroom, redo lawn, clean garage and the list goes on and on... I promise I will get picture taken tonight and get them up on the page in by the end of the weekend.

Glass Time in Packed!!!

Ok been a little bit sense I have written anything in here!!!!

Well went back to P-cola, FL for Christmas! No glass time shop was closed there for some reason but it was all good due to Gnat being sick and then me getting sick. Helped out the parents as much as I could while there.. The flight was the worst I think I have ever had due to the flight getting canceled then rebooked and canceled again. Then flew out New Years Day early and got stuck in the back of the plane on both flights and sitting in the back of the plane for 5.5 hours is not a good thing for me. Forgot to take picture of the most recent glass that I made for the parents for Christmas so no picture again!! I will try and find some stuff that I have made since the last pic post and get them up.

For glass time in the shop it is a little tight..................But I am booked in for a weekend in each month for the next 6 months. That is how busy the shop is getting and also go in with the people I like to blow glass with. Always a big big plus. So going to try an make some lights next go around and maybe some more bowls. I need to go to C&R Loo to grab some glass at some point in time. Got some crazy colors in my brain that I want to try and find but have to have money to buy glass there for need to get the book out and start collected in people that owe me. Till the next time.

Long time No BLOG

Ok here is the quick and sweet version of what all has been going on........


#1 work is hell in a hand basket on a rocket ship

#2 work so much no glass time

#3 last time in the glass shop was good but only one day due to going back to work at night and not being able to leave to get to the shop the next day.

#4 Then went to Florida to help out the bro.

#5 Got glass time there and made so many glass flower I think I could make them in my sleep.

#6 Brother got married ...poor guy :-)

#7 Came back to Cali and went straight back to work

#8 Still at work right now at 4:30 on a Friday when no one else is around.

#9 Next time in the shop will not be till the middle of November

Well here soon I am going to the bar to have a few drinks due to the wife being in San Fran wooohooo...............

Time.... What is time....

Ok here we go.... It has been a little while sense I posted so....


First of all I went to Florida to see the Brother and Parental Units. Then got back to work and it looked like a hurricane came through the office and everything had hit the fan out on the construction grade. Well for two day all I did was file and put out fires out on the grade to get the job somewhat going again due to all the problems that were there was running the other engineer to becoming a crazy loon that ran around pulling out his hair. After helping out and getting everything straigh I left for Montana. It was cool went to Yellowstone and saw some Elk and a Bison (American Buffalo) and the hot springs along with Old Faithfull. Then went to White Sulfur Springs to see the wife's parents relatives. Well lets put it this way, I thought my parents town was small (square mile) White Sulfur Springs is even smaller. :-) It seemed like it had more bars than gas stations and deli's combined. I have some Glass picture from before going to Florida but go to be home to upload them to the blog. Going to Florida again at the end of September for the Brothers Wedding. I will be there for a little over a week and get to blow glass again on the 10 and 11 of September. So that is cool. Well I am not sure who all looks at this thing and reads it from time to time so if you read this leave me a comment or something so I know.
