Well seems like no one even looks at my blog except my brother! If you come look at my page please leave me some feedback.
I have not been able to get to the glass shop since I was last there and I am going back on Friday. So the pieces that were made on Sunday will finally get picked up and I am just waiting to see how they turned out. I got a few ideas to try but nothing shocking. I plan on trying to make a plate and maybe use some bar stock since I have never done that in a piece.

Ok. Lets get this party started on the blog thing.
#1. Post the city your in. In the title. A lot. The search engines will start picking it up.
#2. Keep saying the name of the shop you work in. When people search for the shop the hits will come here.
#3. Say things like hot glass, blow glass, hand blown..etc.. That is what people search for.
you get my drift. Start saying stuff that you think people will start picking up in the search engines.
You want a real quick boost, type in "glory hole" about 10 times in your next post. You will get all kinds of traffic, maybe not that kind you like, but well...
When you go into the shop next time take that Iris gold powder and get 2 good thick gathers of clear. Roll it in the iris gold but don't use a wood block or it will reduce. Get about 3 good thick gathers of the Iris then get a nice strawberry red, or cherry red, and do one quick roll. Light in the red. It will look great, but don't gather over it. If you want to do something bigger do the powder pick ups on the thrid gather or something. Gathering over it will not kill the effect but it will make is less sharp.

Ok, Here is the deal if you don't case the iris gold it will reduce or just barly show in the peice I have come to find out. Maybe it is the kind of color that it is or maybe the heat in the hole don't really know.

Ahh yes, you have a gas fired glory hole not an electric one like me.
Have him turn the "air" up higher and or don't get it in the flame when you are melting it in. Either way it will not matter that much I guess if you incase it after you have blown it out to get the effect.
Do the iris on the 1st gather, red right on top. Blow it out a bit to get the reaction, then encase it. Just keep the size of the piece kind of small so you don't blow out the reaction.
Forgot about that the rest of the known world uses a gas glory hole.
